Modern Browsers (Internet Explorer 7, 7+, Firefox 2, etc) have built-in search tool bars that can be customized to use the search engine of their choice. Moderate to heavy users of search engines frequently find:
  • Use different engines to find the best results
  • Customize one engine for specific purposes
  • Search on specific websites using general search engines or specific search engines.
  • Use vertical search engines.
OpenSearchList allows you to review lists of customized searches and develop your own customized searches. The searches can easily be added to your browser’s search toolbar. The list is maintained in A9’s OpenSearch Description files. To find a specific search, either look through the list of popular searches or search for a search. Just click on the URL and a modern browser will offer to add that search to your search toolbar. It’s easy to delete if you don’t like it and also easy to make your default if you really like it.
